Beginning in 2005, more than 700 citizens and 80 local businesses, organizations and government agencies were part of the Licking County Community Blueprint initiative. Led by the United Way, the Community Blueprint has been both a tool and a process to guide Licking County organizations in establishing funding priorities, measuring results and identifying future projects to improve community conditions.

Surveys of residents and community leaders identified areas of concern that helped establish the formation of the following initiatives:

• Behavioral Health Family Focused Services
• Financial Responsibility and Life Skills
• Wellness
• Workforce Development
