Lack of medical insurance and prescription coverage is an issue facing many Licking County residents. In an effort to assist these individuals, Licking County United Way and Membership Services Corporation are distributing a limited number of prescription drug discount cards free of charge.

Most pharmacies accept the prescription drug discount cards, which have no usage limits, age requirements or registration forms and do not expire until 2011. To qualify for a card, potential recipients must live or work in Licking County and not currently covered by a prescription drug plan.
